Layered Chic

January 11, 2007 at 2:54 am (Business Attire, Cards, Casual, Melissa)

Layer a sleek top with luxurious quilted jacket add a sexy mini jean skirt and what do you have?  Why a non-stop high fashion outfit that takes you from “casual Friday” to “dinner and a movie” while turning heads the whole way through!  Stunning.

Aunt Chirssy, the jacket is from the paper pack I got for my birthday!  The were a bunch of great emobssed papers in there thank you!  I’ve been snipping away the last week or so, but I just decided to do one big post.  I love seeing all these new ideas thanks to more bloggers!  Keep it up ladies.  Love Mel.

Understated Christmas-wear

January 6, 2007 at 10:50 am (Business Attire, Classy, Michelle)

This outfit just has a hint of Santa in it, and its fashionable vest could certainly be worn year round. The fuzzy trim on the skirt adds that little bit of cheery punch to the outfit, and is a hit with the elves.

Tanzania Tango

December 31, 2006 at 7:35 pm (Aunt Chris, Business Attire, Classy, Formal, Semi-Formal)

Wear this ensemble to your next African History Conference. You can present your paper with the jacket on and then remove the jacket to reveal a halter dress for the evening semi formal. The ensemble is fashioned with the flag of Tanzania which will delight all those African affecianados. The outfit and shoes are in high quality FAUX lepoard. The hat will protect you from the hot African sun. When you finish your conference you can cross the Sarengeti plain and climb Mt. Kilamenjaro and you can take your pet giraffe with you.

Linen meets Chic

November 14, 2006 at 9:56 am (Business Attire, Michelle)

This outfit is perfect for board meetings, and especially for impressing high-powered CEOs. It says “Sure, I know how to dress in a pantsuit, but my camisole and bag remind you that I have a personality after all.” The clash satisfies … linen shirt and shrug, with a bold orange camisole. Love it.

Guess what … the black stripey paper in behind is “found” – it was the bag I got from the paper store while restocking my blank card collection … bonus!

Autumn Leaves are Falling

November 2, 2006 at 1:15 am (Business Attire, Casual, Michelle)

And here’s an outfit to match … notice the pretty leather belt, compliments of the trim care package I got in the mail today! I also incorporated some Via Rail Puke Bag, as the background to the skirt, just to make you jealous.

This outfit is perfect for playing in the fall leaves, with boots that are far more rugged than they might first appear! The hat adds both to the effect, and the warmth, of the outfit.

This outfit is perfect for spending time at the mall window browsing in the winter, complete as it is with a warm little touque. I gave it away as a birthday card, and my friend just loved it!
