Train Trendy

January 3, 2007 at 1:17 am (Activewear, Aunt Chris, Casual, Paper fashions)

Do you ever have to go to a model railroad convention? Or do you know someone special who is interested in trains? Have you longed for an outfit that would make you fit right in? Well Train Trendy is the outfit for you. The top is made in a diagonal knit with a green variegated wavy print to represent rolling hills. The black embroidery suggests a railroad track while remaining graphically pleasing to the eye. For the casual nature of a train show the top is shown with jean capris with red stitching. Notice the wedges … the band is also embroidered with railroad cute! No ensemble would be complete without a purse. Train Trendy’s purse is in matching green fabric and jean material. To top it all off Train Trendy has a railroad cap trimmed in red embroidery to match the jeans and the band picks up the green print fabric in the top.

Twins and both professional artists, their contributions should be really interesting, and push us along in this important endeavor.

So, now there are four in our ranks … we’re looking forward to knowing exactly where the fashion show leads! πŸ™‚

Christmas Elegance

December 31, 2006 at 8:08 pm (Cards, Classy, Discussion, Formal, Mom, Paper fashions)

The combination of Christmas morning and the Christmas dinner is displayed in this colourful outfit. The pattern on the skirt is a lovely paisley design on tissue paper postioned so the eye flows along the torso. The bright red napkin top and underskirt creates excitement for the eye as it moves over the figure. Accents of gold on the purse, top and underskirt add eye appeal. The lovely turquoise necklace adds an element of surpise to complete your holiday outfit. mom.jpg

Note Cards

December 2, 2006 at 5:51 pm (Cards, Classy, Collections, Melissa)

I bought a box of blank note cards and made a nice gift by adding coordinating outfits on each one.Β  The picture didn’t turn out too well because the cream and green are not too contrasty but in real life they look better.Β  It was fun to try to make 6 different outfits and limiting myslef to just two papers.Β  I’m getting better at the hangers too!Β  Click on the picture below to link to the whole file it was too big for the space here.

This little darling jacket belongs to a spunky cool teenager with an admirable control over street slang. Retro cool.

Part of the coolness of the card is the inside, which is all decorated with ripped paper strips.

Linen meets Chic

November 14, 2006 at 9:56 am (Business Attire, Michelle)

This outfit is perfect for board meetings, and especially for impressing high-powered CEOs. It says “Sure, I know how to dress in a pantsuit, but my camisole and bag remind you that I have a personality after all.” The clash satisfies … linen shirt and shrug, with a bold orange camisole. Love it.

Guess what … the black stripey paper in behind is “found” – it was the bag I got from the paper store while restocking my blank card collection … bonus!
